Laced up some visuals for “Inhale Deep” from THE OTHER SIDE OF ILL mixtape. Concocted it over 2 days of running around different spots.
The song is one of my favorites. The lyrics were the type that made me realize how crazy life has been. Everything in that song came from memories and thoughts i think about in the dark.
The Primo beat still gives me nightmares till this day. Nas crucified the original ( of course ) so i knew i had to keep it real on this joint and put my unfiltered life on the page.
Wow. where to begin. I always liked film music so needless to say it was a great experience to add my music to a movie. The process was interesting to partake in. While watching the cast and crew putting together the visuals i came up with musical ideas. Seeing the rough edits play out also helped with getting the right sounds together. Nancy and Craig also added a great piano piece for the film that worked great with the turnaround scenes.
Two days. Little to no sleep and a lot of dedication and discipline led to this movie being made and another chapter of my musical life being opened. Looking forward to doing more of this in the immediate future.
Peace to the entire team Savage Dog. We all linked up and made something really good in a short amount of time.
Represented for TEAM SAVAGE DOG and our short film “Special Delivery” last night at the 48 hour Film project premiere. It was surreal to see our film on the big screen and then pose for pictures outside on some hollyhood shit. Saw a lot of great movies from up and coming film makers. I got a lot of compliments about the music i did for it so that really made my day.

Last weekend i took part in the Baltimore 48 hour film project. Linked up with some people and we made short film in 2 days. Learned a lot from the process. It’s dope to see how all the little intricacies of film making come together. Off top i signed up to do the damn music haha. It was almost surreal to see a movie being put to my stuff. The reaction was mad positive so i guess i can chalk this one up as being another positive experience.

Alright folks. Here it is. The first single from the “Concrete Mythology ( The Year of the Dragon )” album. This is also our first video. I know right? We finally do our FIRST video on our 3rd album. CRAZY!!! The response has been great though. Check out what THE HIP HOP DEPENDENCY had to say about it
“This is the first single off of The Plexiglass Fountain’s forthcoming album, Concrete Mythology (The Year Of The Dragon). Musically this track is exceptional. If you listen carefully you can hear so many different components ofTokyo Cigar’s production. It’s really dope to hear someone craft a hip hop beat like this. Lyrically, it’s coming from the heart. They’re not dropping crazy punchlines…they’re dropping sincerity.”
Yo the homie keb0 came thru with the STOOOOPID ILL video for the song “Drifting”. This is a song off the new EP were working on ( which by far is our BEST collab ever ) When i made this beat i felt it was mad dope already but it wasnt my favorite beat from the EP ( wait till you hear the rest of the joints i gave him ) but when homie blazed the rhyme and hook over it i was floored. No…………………….i mean FLOORED. He killed it so much it became one of our favorites after that. Seeing the video for the first time really hit me like wow cause it came together with the vibe of the song so flawlessly and it makes me like the song even more. Shout out to the director Sam Mirpoorian for doing the damn thing.
RESPECT. That’s what this is all about. Man, i been messing with Depeche Mode even when i was a kid and HATED music cause i was so into cartoons and comic books. Their songs just always had a way of haunting my thoughts even back then. But hey It’s Depeche Mode. If you say you don’t like em, either you aint heard the right songs or your just a fucking asshole.
I put this tribute together over the past week. 3 days making the beats ( actually one day making it and two days tweaking up what i made ) and 4 days writing and recording. I was knee deep in the mix of finishing the Plexiglass Fountain album but the idea of doing this just kept fucking with me so i took some time out to hook it up. Hell i was so into enhancing the music for the PGF album ( which is FUCKING INSANE now by the way ) that it was not gonna be released in March anyway so i had a week to spare.
Anyone that has been keeping up with my music for a while will know i did another Depeche Mode tribute project based on the Violator album around 2008 so this is kind of a sequel to that but way better. On top of lacing rhymes over the samples i decided to remix “Enjoy the silence” and used 3 different records from “Black Celebration” to hook up my remix for it.
Well that’s that Enjoy the music. Peace and love.
